Charlemagne Institute is seeking an Interim Director for The Alcuin Internship, an immersive intellectual and professional training program for a group of elite college students and recent graduates. Hosted by Charlemagne Institute each summer, The Alcuin Internship prepares young minds for lives of service to the values and principles of Western Civilization.
The Interim Director will mentor 7-10 summer interns and plan the program’s educational components and networking initiatives. This position has a varied seasonal schedule designed to accommodate an academic or parish calendar. The successful candidate will serve for 1-2 years, with opportunity to secure longer employment after evaluation.
About the Alcuin Internship
The 10-week internship begins with the five-day Intellectual Bootcamp followed by nine weeks of work and weekly seminars with thought leaders from around the country, discussing topics such as virtue, the history of conservativism, the roots of the Western intellectual tradition, and Christianity’s role in shaping the West. Additionally, The Alcuin Internship provides professional mentorship in writing for a diverse audience, business etiquette, networking and growth opportunities, and practical workplace experience at a national nonprofit.
Mentoring & Education:
The position is part-time seasonal, with a full-time commitment during the 10-week summer program.
